About Guns and Hoses
This event takes place on Saturday, April 18th in the downtown square. It’s an all-day festival that was created for first responders. They get a chance to compete in combat.

By watching the competition, you can enjoy the entertainment and get a new appreciation for what first responders do. You’ll also learn more about the uniqueness of the Ocala community. Teams from across the state of Florida will be competing for victory.
Throughout the day, there will be several sporting events available to the public. For instance, there will be amateur volleyball games, basketball games, and fire truck pull competitions. As all the fun takes place, kids can play in the kid zone. They will be able to challenge themselves on an inflatable obstacle course.
One of the highlights of the day is the 5K run. Visitors can explore several different types of emergency vehicles, like police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. There will also be a lift station and a beer mile.
