Here at the Equus Inn, we pride ourselves on catering to serious equestrians...and we’re not just talking about the horse-themed rooms! We understand that traveling for a horse show requires a lot of logistics and planning, so we make every effort to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
This starts with the basics, like parking, location, and welcoming guest policies. We know that when coming to a horse show, you’re often bringing the whole family. This is why we are always happy to welcome children and pets on the premises. We also know how much equipment is required for showing, and that you’ll often arrive with a trailer or RV. For this reason, we have designed our parking lot to accommodate these vehicles, so you can rest easy between competitions with your truck nearby.
For the Ocala Spring Classic in particular, you’ll never have to worry about baking in extra time to get to and from the venue, as we are conveniently located right off I-10 at Exit 350 and just a 20 minute drive to the Florida Horse Park.

Ocala has plenty to offer beyond the Spring Classic, and the Equus Inn is conveniently located near all of the local hot spots. Since you’re coming all the way to Ocala, we recommend spending some time getting to know our charming city—even if it’s just for the afternoon.
If you can only spare an evening or afternoon, check-out historic downtown Ocala, which offers something for everyone. We recommend starting at the town square and winding your way through the side streets to discover amazing dining, shopping, and culture at every turn.
For those with a full day or more to explore, we suggest an outdoor adventure at either Ocala National Forest or Silver Springs State Park, both of which offer a plethora of activities ranging from kayaking and canoeing to hiking and biking. Trail riding is also available, but we suspect you might be in search of some horse-free entertainment on your day-off!
Or, are you in fact looking for more horse-filled fun outside of the Ocala Spring Classic? We wouldn’t blame you, Ocala is the horse capital of the world, after all! If so, the World Equestrian Center should be at the top of your list, as it is now the largest equestrian complex in the country. Come a few days early to watch the World Equestrian Center Winter Spectacular (March 24-28), or stay a few days later to catch the Special Olympics Florida Games (April 9-10). Unable to tack on extra time in Ocala? There’s still plenty to see at the World Equestrian Center outside of horse competitions, including shopping, dining, or even just exploring the beautiful grounds, which are set on 6,000 acres.
