Booking Rental Cars in Vero Beach: What You Should Know

Blue Car

One way to make your Vero Beach vacation more unique is to rent a vehicle. If you’re looking at

booking rental cars in Vero Beach, you should do some research. Follow these tips and avoid making some common mistakes.

1. Rent Your Vehicle in Town

You could rent a car at the airport, but this isn’t the most affordable or convenient option. Typically, rental companies charge more at the airport. They also tend to have long lines that take time away from your vacation. If you want to avoid the fees and wait, don’t rent a vehicle until you get to Vero Beach.

2. Only Have One or Two Drivers on Your Rental Agreement

If you’re traveling in a large group, you may be tempted to have multiple drivers on your rental agreement. But this doesn’t come free of charge. Rather, the rental agency will charge you more money per driver. If possible, only list one or two drivers on your agreement. You should also only include drivers who are 25 or older.

3. Place Your Credit Card on File

You might be tempted to use your debit card to pay for your car rental. However, you should use a credit card if possible. Some rental companies will run your credit before allowing you to use a debit card. Furthermore, they will run an authorization on your card that could amount to several hundred dollars.
